How about some sand and sun to get you out of those quarantine blues? Sounds crazy to be planning a trip right now with all of the uncertainty around Covid-19, but seriously, we all need something to look forward to once all of this is past us.
To help ease your mind, airlines have been great about allowing customers to move or cancel travel plans (with no fees) if they or the area they are traveling to has been affected by the Coronavirus, and I would imagine that the policies they extended for March and April will continue if travel bans are in effect into the summer and fall.
Flights are cheap to just about everywhere right now. However, with how hard Europe and Asia have been hit as well as the current Europe travel bans, I concentrated on finding a beach vacation spot I hold dear to my heart: HAWAII.
Prices are rock bottom right now through most of November. I can foresee these prices staying low while our economy is taking a hit, so I would suggest checking prices every few days. The shots here are for September and October (5-6 months out). If you dare, I have seen flights in the $180-200 range for dates in mid-summer. Honestly, I myself will probably lean on the conservative side and travel in the early fall just to be safe.
Remember Google Flights is a great option for cheap flights. Use the search tool, find the cheap flight that fits your dates, then go to the airlines website to see if the flight deal is even cheaper on their site.
There! Now you definitely have something else you can do in your free time that will actually get you motivated and excited for when this mess ends.
